ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

The PathoSEEK® Total Aerobic Count Detection Assay v2 is used in combination with PathoSEEK Amplification Mix (included) and SenSATIVAx® DNA Purification Kits (purchased separately) to detect a wide variety of species classified as Aerobic Bacteria.

PathoSEEK Detection Assays are multiplex tests based on gene amplification and detection by quantitative PCR. Each PathoSEEK Detection Assay contains primers and probes specific for the target species as well as an internal control. The target organisms will be read on the following fluorophore:

  • Internal Control - HEX
  • Aerobic Bacteria - FAM

Compatible with the following instruments:

  • BMS Mic qPCR Cycler
  • Agilent AriaMx Real-Time PCR instrument
  • BioRad CFX96

Other required reagents:

  • SenSATIVAx® DNA Purification Kit

DISCLAIMER

This test was developed, and its performance characteristics determined by Medicinal Genomics Company, for laboratory use. Any deviations from this protocol are not supported by MGC.

This test has not been validated on remediated (irradiated, ozone treated, acid treated, hydrogen peroxide treated, etc.) samples. Samples that have undergone remediation may cause discordant results between plating methods and PathoSEEK methods. When remediated samples produce a result above the action limit on qPCR, we recommend confirming viability with an approved plating method.
